I’m Suraj Kumar.
Director. Writer. Artist.
My journey began in front of the camera. I spent one year at Kamya Film Academy, pursuing acting and building the foundation for a life in films.
In 2016, I stepped into direction and shot my first music video with Desi Crew. I went on to work alongside cinematographers Regan Dadu and Mintu Plaha, developing my approach to the camera and the craft of filmmaking.
My first viral breakthrough came with Pitbull by Satt Dhillon and Deepak Dhillon. It opened the door to a run of hits, including 855 by R Nait, 2 Number De, Average and Badle, and collaborations with some of the industry’s leading labels and artists.
A PERSONAL CAREER MILESTONE
On set every day for an entire month.Then, 20+ releases in a single month.
I made my web-series debut with Jab Hum Parhya Karte The, produced by Batra Films, taking on acting, writing and direction. I then wrote and directed Yaar Kalakaar, continuing my work in original storytelling.
The journey also took me to Goa for Pendiya Ch Kaun Kharhda, released by Punjab Motion Picturez. Beyond India, I have completed 20+ shoots in Dubai, alongside projects filmed in Malaysia and Thailand.
Today, I bring together direction, writing, performance, cinematography and editing to create work with a clear visual identity. Rooted in Ludhiana, my journey continues across Punjabi, Hindi and Kannada cinema.
